Would you like a Lost Bullet?

 

This candy was lost, but it found you. Differing from the lost bullets that insist on finding young black people in the low income communities in large Brazilian cities, this is a banana flavoured candy, and it’s soft, energetic and delicious. It will do good for you, make you remember for a long time this artistic act on the streets that was pursuing to catch your attention regarding structural racism in Brazil, that made us think it’s natural that black mothers in the ghettos would have to get used to the bitter taste of the loss of their children, that young pregnant women should have to raise their children without the presence of their father. The same society that accepts with ease the fading if the history of a whole nation, resists to the affirmative politics that are a minimal historic repair regarding a whole population, that represents more than one hundred million people that count themselves as black. The lost bullets that find black men and women in the poor neighborhoods, far from the eyes of law and justice, are harsh, quick, flaming and they hurt, slaughter, kill.
